Congratulations to all the Pod 2 students for making a wonderful start to the 2018 school year.
We hope friends and family follow our blog throughout the year to keep up to date with all the learning we are doing. You can also keep up to date with via the school newsletter, school Facebook page and by attending Friday assemblies.
Over the next few weeks Pod 2 are exploring Money. What do you know about money? How much is that? Is that expensive or cheap? Can I afford that? How much money will I have left over? Who remembers ‘The price is right’?
Today Pod 2 were lucky enough to go to the Ballarat Fine Gallery to see the exhibition, ‘Romancing the Skull’. The Artlink program facilitated art activities as well as some riveting stories told by Anne Stewart, which all the students were enthralled by. It was a fantastic opportunity for our Pod and was enjoyed by all.
Were you lucky enough to particiate in today’s excursion? If so, what was your favourite part of the day? Why?
This week students are encouraged to take on the challenge of participating in the ‘Hour of Code’. Learning to code is a skill that can help you in all areas of your learning as well as possible future jobs.
Check out this video with your class and then click on the linked images below to start your hour of code challenge.
This term in the STEAM room, POD 2 students have been learning about the relationship between flowers and insects. We wondered, “are they friends or foes?” I wonder what most people would choose? We also took on the challenge of learning many new scientific words to help us understand and explain what is happening in this area of science. Take this quiz to show yourself and me, just how clever you are!
Hi guys , how are you all? Hope you’re all enjoying the last couple of weeks of school before the holidays .
I am in a place near Coffs Harbour, where the Big Banana is. I was in Sydney for a few days too. Cheyne you will be happy to know that I did see the Opera house and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I went over the bridge on the train and went under it on a ferry. It was fun. Tyler, you wanted me to post a picture on here of the Bridge and Opera House for you, so I did.
Hope you are all well and working hard for your teachers. See you all later.
