Lachlan and Sandy are yet to finish their epic game which was interrupted because it was home time- they had to photograph their game so it could be continue next week. Go Sandy!

How the earth was made?

Wow, this is a really big question!

This week students from Pod 2 have visited the Earth Ed centre in Ballarat to begin exploring Earth sciences. The students had the opportunity to get ‘hands on’ with lots of different activities relating to the earth. As the term continues, students will be exploring the earth and the impact of both nature and humans on our home planet.

This video describes how scientists think the earth was made. What do you think?

Fun at Cottage by the Sea

Hi everyone back in Pod 2. Hope your not missing us Grade 3’s and 4’s too much. We are having sooo much fun here in Queenscliff that we haven’t had time to miss you. Here are some pics of our adventures so far.

The garden pot challenge

The challenge today was to carry water from an esky using a garden pot to fill a  bucket which was about 10-15 metres from our esky. We had to work in teams of 6 to work out the best strategy to fill our buckets using a garden pot, which had lots of holes in the bottom of it. It was very tricky.

  Go Immy, fill that bucket!

Can you code? Try this

HI everyone, coding is not as hard as you might think.

When you write code you are writing a list of steps for the computer to follow. In this example you get to write code for a Yeti using blockly code.

Click on the image below to see if you can code… I bet you can!

Can you make me dance?

How did you go? Let me know in the comments and if you’d like to try some more coding challenges click here.
